Front Load washing machine
#16
Hi
We are in the visa process and as we have a large family we have 2 washing machines. One a 7kg front loader and the other a 8 kg top loader ( must say this one washes jeans etc better) Why do you say they are stopping the top loader as I was planning on taking both?

Sounds like a removal company doing its best to scrape a few extra quid by persuading a family to take more stuff than they need.

Just a total guess, but I would think that the dryer function would increase the water consumption (most combo machines condense the water vapour by a slow flow of cold water), so if you are after a rebate, you may be better off going for a separate dryer.
As I said, this is a total guess, so please check up re this
EDIT the rebates will only apply to machines bought in Australia: bring one from the UK, you will not get any rebate

Just because they are stopping toploaders (if they are) doesnt mean you cant bring yours with you! They are not going to order everyone to throw out their toploader, you just wont be able to buy a new one.
