Foxtel
#16
I never even considered getting foxtel before visiting the UK. Just about every house I went to in the UK, had sky. There is no way in the world, that any advertiser can sell things like the biography channel, or the history channel, or National geographic etc etc. Once i had seen what they were all about, plus the fact that I work night shift, and there is n'out on free to air, in daytime.
I love the fact that I can watch the news at anytime day or night, and there is always something mildly interesting on.

So much for that idea! It now appears that the Foxtel Helpline works with the same efficiency as the DIMIA one! The Bloke rang them yesterday and they told him it was on TV...........it now appears they were reading LAST YEARS Press release! Nice efficient tidy office they must work in!
Thank goodness for a mother in the UK with a video recorder - she had videoed it just in case

Just got Austar. I didn't know that they have the whole place carved up - Foxtel are allowed some areas, Austar the others! So no competition or pressure on pricing......
