Moving all that way to be worse off wasn't part of the plan though. But money isn't everything and its good to look into the positive and negative of emigrating.

Absolutely. You wouldn't solely base your decision on others' opinions, but it doesn't hurt to consider others' experiences who have trodden the path before you - positive and negative. Good luck either way!
