It goes both ways. Some people assume that because they hate it, there is something wrong with others who don't.

I'm sure it says something about human nature.

Absolutely, there are a couple of posters here who think that those who like it are somehow lower down the social and intellectual scale than themselves.

Not me, live and let live I say. And I hope I don't ever come across in the way you describe (please virtually slap me if I do!).

No, not you!

(But I like this idea of virtual slapping. We should develop an icon for it. How about =3 ?)

You are both so right, why do we judge others on their likes and dislikes, we are all different and have different needs from life.

Oh C how true this is, it really pees me off that I get looked down on and judged because I like living here in Perth when I do try not to judge people.

What also irritates me beyond belief are the ones who say "it depends what you came from in UK as to what you are happy with here".

I have always said emigration is not for everyone, Perth is not for everyone, give it a fair go and if you don't like it at least you can say you came and you saw and you found it wasn't for you, you'll have memories that you will never forget.

Good luck NKSK2 in your future adventures

This is another example of the vested interests/corruption/dodgy deals type of thing which I find very unsettling in WA.

Very interesting read.

It has however made me think whether it is worth all the cost and upheaval to come to Australia, perhaps we should stay in the UK.
