The near 60% support for the Liberals in this poll is interesting and is in complete contrast to national polls.
I think it's because many poms have seen the cock-up that a quasi-socialist, namby-pamby government has made in the UK and realise that a KRudd/Gillard government will do the same here.

The trouble with socialist governments is they say one thing and do another, relying more on spin and soundbites to gain and stay in power rather than facts and substance. Oh well, if Rudd gets in I suppose we must forgive the electorate for they know not what they do.

If carbon emissions are to be significantly reduced without affecting economic growth then we are going to need nukes. Nothing else can provide the big base loads that are required to run a modern economy without emissions. 5-6 nukes would do it. 1-2 in Qld, 1 in NSW, Vic. and SA and 1 in WA.
