All I have at work at present is the Brisbane and Syndey forecasts -
Brisbane - Moderate to fresh NW to N'ly winds, shifting W to SW at similar strength late afternoon or evening with possible dust haze.
and Sydney - A dry partly cloudy day with fresh to strong gusty westerly winds. The chance of morning dust with reduced visibility.
If I get anything more definite than that overnight I'll post it here

Looked fairly thick in central NSW on the news earlier, only heard that it was heading for the coast, no more details than that.

Its much milder than Wednesday but from where we are there is a light red tinged haze above us.OH just landed in Syd from Bangkok so Kingsford Smith is functioning as normal.I was worried that if the storm was like Wednesdays he would not be able to land.

I am told it was very dusty at 6.30am but not red; at 6.30am I was still snoring.
Very windy down near the harbour now, was possibly a bumpy landing for Mr Wilgar.

The last estimates I was given were Brisbane at around 2000-2100hrs, which is about now, (but I'm stuck in a dark office and can't see a lot!) and then the Ingham further north by about 3am - moving about 40kph apparently.

There was a definite haze over the NSW/QLD border this morning and then driving along the coast at about 9 ish, all lights further along were missing - too much dust, couldn't see Burleigh northwards. Bit of a worry because you couldn't see the red flight warning light on top of Q1, not that I needed to but I guess pilots use it when coming in to Coolie

Just imagine the condition of the air filters of the vehicles that were driving on Wednesday....
Even had mum ring and suggest that I change mine...told her that the car never moved and was covered all day.
