Drinks From The 70/80/s

My hubbies fav 80's drink was a spitfire. Perno and southern comfort together, it also never turned cloudy as perno normally does when mixed. He also liked a snakebite. I however was a very good girl and drank bitter lemon.
. My fav drink now is Harveys bristol cream sherry and lemonade. Sad but true, cheap as well.

I remember a few good nights on Brandy and Babycham when I was at school (during the last few weeks of the 6th form, aged 18 of course
)White Lightning was a killer, wasn't it, specially if mixed with blackcurrant so you could drink it quicker. Diamond White too.....
Wonder what Mercury Dry is like with blackcurrant.....hmmmm........Anyone else remember Taboo and Mirage - could still get Taboo in Sainsburys when I left in 2003, I'll be straight there on my return this year
And dear old Martini ...........stranded in the old Dubai airport in 2000, only one shop where the cheapest drink was a 2 litre Martini bottle. Bars shut, cafes shut, me on my own and not a little freaked out. No drinking in public on pain of death. Large Martini bottle fitted into rucksack, and I made frequent trips to the Ladies, dragging all my luggage, where I consumed Martini at a great rate to fortify myself for the next hour or so on a hard plastic seat waiting for an aircraft to be found.

I didn't mix the Stout & Cider with the Navy Rum & Blackcurrant
Two separate drinks

It was the crowd I drank with that got me on the Navy Rum mix

Merrydown Cider lah de dah!! I couldn't afford that when I was a teenager. It was Winemarks own brand cider, 1.99 for 2 litres. Wasn't bad tho'

I did try Tennants Super once, it tasted like beer mixed with vodka. Not very nice...
