You don't need your notes as you don't really register with a doctor over here in the same way - you just go to anyone that takes your fancy, and can use a different one each time. Hence there really is no system of keeping notes in the way that we are used to - the notes they do take don't follow you from doctor to doctor.

Thanks for that. I didn`t realise that you could just go to any of them. I take it I`ll still need immunisation records for the kids though? Wish I`d done a photocopy when we went for the medicals! I don`t even know where the red books are! (not that I ever remembered them ). I`m at the docs this afternoon, so I`ll have a word with the doc rather than Dick Turpin who masquerades as a receptionist
