When I lived in Beckenham and Dulwich I did not think they were particularly dirty.....not much 'doom and gloom' either

Hmmm - you're a bit of a troll idiot aren't you?
No, like I said - it may be a bit of a heads-up to people heading out to Perth from the UK/London.
I certainly wasn't aware of a lot of what I've found out since living here when still in London.
Shit, why am I even bothering to reply to a muppet like you.

Depends on what kind of beer you like. I think British 'real' ale is rank and tastes like dishwater. I prefer Belgian style beers or lagers, pilseners and guinness. IMO the Belgians, Germans and Czechs do much better beer than the Poms. There are some great Aussie beers - Redback being my favourite.

From what you have said it sounds like you just prefer lager than ale/ beer. I do agree with Belgian beer, it is easily the best in the world.
In my opinion there are much better beers than Redback which is just an imitation of a Hoegarden style white beer. Current Aussie favourites are Murray's Sassy Blonde and Grand Cru.

Would have thought the same with regards to smoking.Little tolerence here for it at all....Expect UK will make up ground with the smoking ban in pubs now in place. Possibly won't be a lot of drinkers left soon either, what with the rate of pub closures over there, which to a large part is to do with smoking bans.

I would reccomend Snowy Mountains Crackenback Pale Ale. If you can get it in Perth that is.
