That is very true.........any bank in the UK can not do a credit search in any other country other than the UK. The same applies to every country in the world. But I would advise to pay off all debts before leaving......if for whatever reason you need to come back, you will struggle to get finance if you have not paid back debts. Just remember all small finance companies are part of larger groups e.g Marbles is part of HSBC etc. |

Just remembered a story from a friend who left the Uk to live and work overseas. She left behind a giant tax bill and thoroughly enjoyed "beatin the tax man at his own game" and relished a whole 12 years of being "free from her debt", until it caught up with her! They tracked her down through her nursing registration and demanded the full unpaid ammount - with interest!!! So, it may have taken the debt collectors 12 years to catch up with her but she never got away with it coz it was sittin there all that time just waitin for the right opportunity. Pay it off. You'll feel so much better going out to Oz with no debts and a new start. *pearly* |

You can end up being jailed for 3 years, out in 18 months for good behaviour for rape or kiddie fiddling but woe betide you if you dare not pay your taxes! |

Its bloody crazy! You get 25 to life for armed robbery yet a tosser who hurts children or rapes people is out in hardly any time after a spell in a cosy wing of a prison learning how not to get caught again and is released to re-offend! Something somewhere has gone seriously wrong with humanity! |

Something somewhere has gone seriously wrong with humanity! I could talk about this ALL day! I seem to remember in that appalling vicarage rape case, the non-beast got more years than the other two as he had planned the burglary. Guess that girl wasn't worth much then..... |

If you've spent £10k then isn't this what you pay back???
the simple answer is NO Probably more like £20k ++++++++++ Why would you want to offer a credit card company less than you owe? Because they want Much more than they gave you ( Shafted) Now tell me what i`m saying is Completly wrong ;)
