Also what they said was the jobs like project Manager and program manager in IT were too generic and hence I need to be in Australia to take the opportunity.
Another thing they asked me was when Can I join, to which I answered 8 weeks which kinda put them off (I think). But the fact is I am in a very senior Position here so I just can't abandon the company just like that. I need to exit gracefully. What they said was If I had some niche skills then probably there is some chance. BTW as I am in Siebel which is very Niche market, I can use that skill as well. Only thing I have to take a step backwards to enter to the technical domain once again (Which ofcourse I am very comfortable doing).
Time to rethink and relook at my resume...
It's really your lead time for availability, that and of course to a lesser extent your skill set, niche stuff as you probably know is the domain of the young chap, unless it's really niche and still pays good dollars (i.e. hard) , There is a bit of uncertainty(perception) as to just what exactly Oracle is going to do with siebel and peoplesoft to position itself against that holy grail of contracting -> SAP.

lets face it, it took oracle about 10 years to integrate the OLAP stuff into its database and nobody wanted to be first.........

Sandeep, I am a career contractor, and I have hmm....... 3-4 copies of my resume which de-emphasize the non relevant skills and emphasize the relevant skills , depending on the position applied for . I mean I've been contracting for 15 years so I don't want to send em to sleep at the start.

PM me if you want more info, cheers
