Anyway, the online version wont work for me, wouldn't accept the codes the dumper had written, I assumed it was too early, so did the paper version. Pity they didnt knock on door, I would have liked a privacy envelope:sneaky: |

Information that if released would give the ability to identify an individual. The data is aggregated.

Re: census,2011
Massive if considering the way it is secured. The ABS risks its own existence if that data source is accessible to anyone but a select few. Even then all access is logged. The source data is considered sacrosanct to avoid the perception of a lack of integrity. The legislation backing the ABS also requires the security and aggregation.

true, but the source data prior to aggregation has a ludicrous amount of identifiable information though.

Although not in the same league I imagine Sony considered the PSN data and payment information to be sacrosanct too :D I'm just puzzled for the reqirement for so much information, though I'm not quite at the stage of dusting off my tin foil hat and screeching about big brother in a census just yet :D |

Why do they need your name if it's not used for anything? |
Re: census,2011
But that Sony information was left stored on computers directly accessible from the net. No identifiable ABS information hits a PC to be lost. Fed gov laptops normally have HDD encryption. Sony was slack and cheap and has had little criminal legal trouble. Private sector and state data had nowhere near the same level of legislation to cover privacy.
I cannot comment much more other than that your information has multiple barriers to access, both physical and technical. The information asked for is another matter.

I don't see the need for the level of personal info they are asking for on this census. And does no one find it irritating that you apparently don't have the choice to refuse to answer questions, don't have the right to give false information...like this is the Spanish Inquisition? Feel free post the Python sketch...:p :p |
