And what happens, now that I have submitted it, if I go out and pick up some hot chick and take her back to mine? Do I have to obtain all of her details for the census entry? That could be a real passion killer...
Or worse, I go back to hers, so I haven't spent the night at mine, have I effectively lied on the census?
Jeez the ramifications are immense!
Maybe I had better play it safe tonight and say "Not tonight love - It's the census - better play it safe and head home separately..."

They just gave us a brochure saying that we're supposed to fill it in online. I guess we're not worth the paper.
There's neighbors up the road who were in the local paper because they have no internet or phone access--new subdivision and no lines put in yet. I bet they were happy to receive that brochure.

By law The ABS cannot make available any data that can be attributable to an individual. The ABS take this seriously otherwise it's ability to collect information will be compromised and it's reason to be gone.
The ABS does not use it's every day systems for the census. Dedicated systems with plenty of grunt and bandwidth will be used and secured tighter than a nats twuff.
The information is used for decision making and it would be illegal to use it for marketing, not that the info is identifiable in the first place.
