You know what - there are families who`ve lost loved ones in NZ today, there is a potential war brewing in Korea and here we are blowing hot air about Perth. The original poster hasn`t even logged on or made any comment since posting this question so obviously it can`t be that important to them. As PP stated previously - there are more important things in life than bumping our gums about bogans and mass generalisations about whole areas being full of retarded feral bogans.
The one thing this thread has shown - you either love it here or you hate it - ultimately I can only go by my own experience which has on the whole been good - but then Im a glass half full type.

You know what, you are both so right. There is so much more going on in this world apart from who is happy or who is unhappy in Perth. Why don't we all agree to disagree, those who are unhappy go and do something about it or mix with like minded people and leave us who are happy alone.

Neither group is right or wrong, it's just that we don't see things the same way.

Maybe the PP was trying to mix with like-minded people on here, and as they're new to Perth, didn't realise about the two camps of "love it here" and "hate it here". There's probably a 3rd camp of "sort of like it here". If people aren't happy, or are happy about living in Perth, or somewhere else, then isn't BE a place to talk about it without entering a fight with the other camp?

I have no problem at all with people not liking Perth as we are all different with differing hobbies and needs. I do have a massive problem with racists and people who insult whole swathes of society just because they may dress or wear their hair differently. Some of the words used in some posts in this thread are highly offensive and discriminatory. IMO of course.

Of course it is the perfect place to talk about it, no need for fights, plenty of room for all of us to have our say about our views of where we live..................but these views, as some posters in this thread have commented, should not be voiced in a discriminatory and offensive way. We all pick fault with people from time to time, its only human nature, but some of the opinions coming through here are verging on racial hatred and are starting to go too far.

Oh am so sorry to be complaining however I have been through hell and back to get over here , and I do feel like I have gone backwards. I am paying £1300 a month to live in an area equivalent to a shit council estate.

moving house 3 times and having my 4 kids on my own
to getting back together making this dream happen as I bloody deserve it

To B and S, please move as soon as you can. We started off in Quinns but I'm not going to say anything bad about it, it just didn't suit us. We realised after two months but we had signed a six month lease and paid for the whole six months so we just had to sit tight. We then moved just ten minutes up the road and the kids moved schools but it made all the difference and we feel much happier and settled here. Having said that, shit happens wherever you live, even in posh Iluka....

I completely agree , very expensive here to live in a good area .Perth was once the cheaper destination hence so many poms moving here, now it is silly .....I am currently in process of taking elders to court for breaching their agreement , as spa not worked for 8 weeks and took the house on for the facilities .......so sitting tight to hopefully get out .........thats all I need is to feel happier in my enviroment.

Baldivis is very new - the building groups are still responsible for the upkeep, Port Kennedy housing is on average around 15 yrs old and come under Rockingham Council for upkeep (as will Baldivis eventually). It`s no different to Secret Harbour that you`ve already slated as "Stepford Wives" If you are bored in Port Kennedy I really can`t see things changing in Baldivis. You are no nearer to the cafe/pub lifestyle you say you crave, plus you`ll still be near Rockingham and all us retards with 6 toes
Seriously if it`s that bad rather than taking the company to court which could take a while, why not break your lease - plenty of people do it, or try and get someone else to take over the lease and move nearer the city to the lifestyle you crave. After moving all the way over here, then moving from the NOR to SOR, I`d be making damn sure my next move was ticking all my boxes and getting it right.

Hello I didn't actually say I was going to move to Baldivis , however can see it is a better sburb I would like to move near fremantle I looked at a house yesterday , a complete dump for $650 a week .............very hard living somewhere I would like when it is so expensive to .

My friend offered me to rent in claremont yesterday a lovely home but $1000 a week is a little out of my affordability and were not talking mansions were talking same size house as port kennedy. If I break my lease I am responsible to pay the remainder of the tenancy, even if they find a new tenant ..............the only wyay forward is to take them to court for breaching the lease and then hope the magistrate ends the tenancy on the pure fact they have not upheld their resposibility of their part of the lease............... if I don't pay the remainder when responsible to........ I get bad credit , I do not want that when I do not know what the future holds ....................

ref baldivis (settlers) it is a bit stepford wivey desperate house wifey but the cricket ground the way the roads are set up some tree lines as it is newer it does look pretty ..............also it is a good 10/15 minutes nearer the city than Pk and bang on the dual carageway...........as port kennedy is a suburb that is older it surely is starting to show , Not everyone has 6 toes in Port kennedy however a majority out rule the minority .......some even may have 7
