Hiya
We stayed at Main beach (just along from Sanctuary Cove, less than 5mins in the car)) when we went, the Xanadu apartments, they were ok but nothing to really rave about but I liked the area. Just round the corner was Tedder Avenue, where they are plenty of restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
We had great views of the sea and beach, lovely to lie in bed and hear the waves
Easy to get to Surfers along the beach front, although I was not mad on Surfers in general!
Easy enough to get to other areas from there, we would happily stay in Main Beach again if we go.

Sorry but there is NO WAY Main beach is 5 mins from Sanctuary Cove!!
Maybe 25!!
However the Xanadu is fab ( we stayed there twice including the month on arrival with our 1 way ticket!) A lovely end of the coast and not too far from the boat show..

Yep, you're right, sorry![Embarrassment](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Blame it on tiredness, it took us about 20 mins from Hope Harbour which is a bit nearer than SC, so not sure where I got the 5 from!

Palazzo Versace actually have some fab deals at the minute have a look at their website to see them. Bloody nice hotel, we have stayed several times and it's worth the bit extra. The Hyatt as Sanctuary Cove is also really nice, good sized rooms and the lagoon pool is great for relaxing at. Riveria always site a luxury boat in the middle for the boat show which is cool. The restaurants and bars in the village are very good. It will be busy with the boat show but still nice in the evenings when the crowds leave.

We stay at Broadbeach when we go to the Gold Coast because it is easy to get to a lot of places from there including Surfers (if you must) and Burleigh and the surrounding areas.
We have always stayed at the Talisman Apartments which is right on the beach and has spectacular views of the coast along with excellent facilities.

Not going this year but it would be interesting to see exactly what Riviera are showing or how many orders they get. I wouldn't order anything from them at the moment and they've always been a huge part of the GC show.
Don't know the hotel Possums but am sure you'll have a great time.
