Default Can anyone ID this toad?

I found this while weeding the other day. It was hiding behind a pot by my front garden and it scared the crap out of me since I was right beside it when it moved.

Anyone know what it is? At first I thought it was a cane toad, but it doesn't exactly look like the pictures I found.

If its that bl**dy thing that has been croaking away all night for the last month at the back of the gardens of the B&B we are in, stick a spade through the middle of it please.

What's wrong with cane toads? Are they harmful?

Introduced pest with poison sacks behind the head ie kills other animals up the food chain including dogs. The poison can affect you if t comes in contact with skin (spades not such a good idea).

Golf club under the chin is a good idea.

They are a little poisonous, but mostly they're just an unwanted pest with no useful purpose.
