By the way Donald. A member on the other site seems to think you are, and i quote " known to certain agencies in law enforcement either by conviction or by general interest. " Are you a terrorist or something?
Maybe he looked up Donald Pleasence's best film roles?

I hereby confirm that I am not a terrorist, have no criminal (or other) conviction, and am not interested in any areas of crime other than as a concerned member of society!

Funny how I am not allowed to question whether a thread should be on sticky or not but others are allowed to slag me off very offensively including calling me anally retentive (from the site owner!) and a terrorist or criminal. :D :D

If my child ever said "no, you idiot", to me, she would be in BIG trouble.
I stand chastised. Yes, I actually said it and that's about as offensive as I got, I will do 100 lines to remind me that calling somone an idiot in a friendly brotherly way complete with smilies is unacceptable.

Hi all
Just read through a lot of the thread on the NZ site where Don seems to have upset a few people.
The interesting bit, to me, is that the most vehement defenders of the NZ way of life are all living in England:eek:

Talk about starry eyed dreamers:rolleyes:

Ah, that's answered my question about whether you were 'Grey' on the other site!

And the clique thing - yes there is a clique on the other site, like there is everywhere! :)

Actually I am not registered on that site and have never posted.
I did not know about it until This thread cropped up.
Sorry not me

I will add.......(maybe should have said it earlier...)

I've had NO trouble, maybe a few 'short' replies from 'we know best' brigade, and have personally found some of Don's posts quite entertaining.....Just not the nasty ones, and there has been a few.....

Bit of a crim on the side apparantly too.......:D

On a second point, I have a teenager that is never off the site and has been WELL LOOKED AFTER by all of you on here.....x

Like minded people will always gather together because most of their values are shared. Does that make them a clique, or companions, or maybe just friends ?

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)
Clique
A narrow circle of persons associated by common interests or
for the accomplishment of a common purpose; -- generally used
in a bad sense.

I can see where you are coming from Bix (fnarr fnarr) and don't disagree but I was using the term in the context that sometimes people form a tight knit group that excludes others ALTHOUGH they may have the same interests etc.

Let's try to cut through that type of crap on here then Poll. ;)

As you probably realised I was being a bit tongue in cheek. :)

I have tried to welcome and help as many people as possible and hope I can continue to do so.

People helped me a lot (some say I am beyond help) and try to reciprocrate.

I was once acused of being a clique member but I think it was soon apparent that I will speak to anyone :D

It's the lovable lion personality you see :D ;)

Ay this is almost like the days when PB used to post.

How many of you remember those days?

You would all think Don is a Pussy cat compared to ole PB.

He even managed to rattle my cage on several occasions.

Whisky:)

What is the point of a forum, if we all share the same opinions and values?

Diversity is what counts...if you don't like it, then don't log on.

i don't always like what i hear / read from others, but I take it all in and keep it in m ind...one day it might become useful.

As for the " offensive " posts, well....you , again, should just accept that no one man is the same as the next.

Some people just love an argument because they've nothing else going on in their lives......some people like to join the 'bandwagon', once its been started, because they don't have the conviction to put their thoughts 'out there' first off.

JUST ACCEPT that we are ALL different...and for christs sake...GET OVER IT.
