If you have visited there lately, it is a case of when your lucky numbers come up to be seen.

Hows it goin? Bix does keep me up to date when he remembers dear of him - tis his age
Was hoping to meet you by the end of this month - is that still gonna be feasable? Have been planning a BIG BBQ in your honour
Well, Bixies birthday too of course he he!!!
Good luck re the hse next week! Hope it happens this time - what a bummer! Why does house selling/buying in the UK never run smoothly! Pain in the ass innit! Usually so much easier over hear - done and dusted within 4 wks if all the checks etc are ok - easy peasy compared to over there!
CYA soon we hope (boy, I must be in a good mood today, well it is Australian Mothers Day)
Take care

............your sense of humour never fails to bemuse me
Whenever anybody mentions BINGO i always think of the UK in the late sixties when I was a wee girl - never played it myself but it was so popular in our small town back then! OOOHHH the 'swingin sixties' long live the Beatles - NOT!!!!
Keep up the good work!

I thought the nightlife was only open to 30+ year olds
Matty mate, you will like the nightlife.
What's good too is that it is in the main all pretty close together so it's easy to stagger from one venue to another.

Just wondering if hockey is big in Aus. Hubby plays hockey for his local team and would like to play in cairns (not the ice variety).

I have finally decided on cairns, after changing my mind every two minutes! Thank you for all the replies on the various locations in Aus we have posted questions about.
At least now i can start the process and register with nursing board. I will not be swayed by anything i read (so i may need to ban this site!)

Yay!
Cairns is a lovely place. The scenery there just makes you feel good too. I hope you and your family are very happy there! I'm really glad that you have reached a decision - you must feel relieved.
When I finally move to Cairns too, I might even see ya around!
Keep in touch,
and...welcome to a new future life in sunny Queensland!
Vegemite.
ps Hockey is popular in Australia, there is hockey played competitively in Cairns for sure.
