Our close friends moved to Bundaberg from the UK five years ago due to being offered a job (she was a dentist). We visited a couple of times. It was okay, not much going on. Eventually they moved further down to Brisbane as they found it too quiet. But there were very happy and relieved to move on.

Flights to Brisbane you obviously know how long that takes from trhe UK. To Rocky about 50 minutes from BNE, Mackay slightly longer. Bundy never used to have a jet service, don't know about now, but look at at least an hour, or 40 or so minutes if there is a jet service. Takes about 4 hours to drive.

So flights to these areas are fairly easy to sort and regular then...??

I don't know how regular they are - used to be maybe a couple of flights a day to Bundy, and maybe 4 or so to Rocky, but that was a few years ago! A search or visit to a Flight Centre would give you up to date info

We hope to move to bundaberg, bargara or somewhere near it, we travelled through there in December, I really enjoyed bargara. I can see it getting more developed in the future. There was a lot of holiday homes being built.
There was just something relaxed about it.
