Yep....I sit corrected!!! Its $29 for the unlimited broadband when you sign up to the $30 phone package!

http://www.tpg.com.au/products_servi...cing/homephone

Still a great deal especially if you do lots of downloads and are within their coverage areas.

I don't know what TPG are doing but my connection keeps getting faster and faster. Not done a speed test for few months so I did one at 11:30 this morning, not peak time but not where near the quietest and it confirms it is double the speed it was just a few months ago.

All depends on what you use it for

Blu Ray Film is about 50Gb
1080p MKV format film is about 8Gb

So if you like downloading HD films and TV shows you'll need at least 100Gb a month.

If not, 10Gb will be plenty.

Mine is typically about 13Mb/s with TPG. A bit less than their coverage map indicates I could be getting in my area but fast enough.

You'll get caught. They know what you're downloading. Just get your mates to download for you.

Have you been getting that sort of download speed for a while? Like you, we don't get the indicated speed and we don't need it, you would have to be a hardcore downloader to need 20Mb/s which we are not, although I did use ABC Iviewer to watch the entire Ashes to ashes series without a single glitch.

Yehp 3 simultaneous downloaders at times in our household... usually between 200 and 300 Gig per month.

I'm still itching to set up my overseas live tv system... which would involve more downloads, but end my Foxtel subscription hopefully..

Just to repeat what I've said before, 89 buck per month 400 Gig IInet plan combined with Aud 18.88 Pennytel Crazy Talk Voip... Pennytel covers all of my phone needs including Mobile and overseas calls in that price (150 Mobile calls per month or 500 mins)

Start with the 10gig plan though, because it's free to move up, whereas a lot of companies charge you to reduce your plan.

Speed at present is...
