Is there any better feeling than the blessed relief of the first cool air after weeks of burning heat? Things that make you go 'ahhhhhh'

Indeed. The heat hell doesn't last too long. Back to normality and then heating soon enough. ;)

I can relate to that, living in Adelaide. The cool change feels wonderful.

Apart from 2 scorchers and a bit of humidity a few weeks ago we've had a cool one in Melbourne - probably translates to quite nice weather for many.

Humidity up here been stonking since November and even the remnants of the cyclone from up north hasn't upset the apple cart so to speak ! Certainly the worst we've experienced in our 8 years  Hopefully not much more to come then the real bonus of living in Queensland (aka Autumn to Spring) will bear fruit !:fingerscrossed:

Same here; been one hell of a summer, done less this summer than we would have done in a UK winter. Peeps in the UK think, out and about in the sun.
Give me a cold dry sunny day anytime. But my opinion comes with the experience of living in pure heat and stonking humidity. Not sure I could do another summer here. Mozzie bites, heat, humidity, and lack of sleep, makes me so grizzly.
