I've only been in Brisbane for 3 weeks and already finding the weather hard to cope with! Never thought I'd say this but I miss the wind in Wellington!

This is way hotter than normal for brisbane in november, hot and dry, low 40's, its more like one of the extreme heatwaves you get in the southern states. Brisbane is usually more 30 with some humidity from the storms.

Meanwhile, went out, AC shops, so busy people avoiding heat heat I think, got home 37C upstairs, 34C level one. Water coming out tap, hot, not warm actual bath type temp. Partner didnt belive me but water is hot! Swimming pool 36C.

Saw 43C on the car thermo today up at Tamborine, that is officially pretty warm. Its due to drop to "only" 30C tomorrow.

Indeed! Way hotter than normal. It will pass soon, hopefully.

And down my end we hit a top of 33 for about half an hour, although humidity was way higher than normal. Coolie didn't get above 27.

What's up with the Gold Coast lately? Is my iPhone playing games with me or has the weather really been that bad recently?

I thought Gold Coast had the edge over Sydney in terms of climate/weather - have I made the wrong assumption or is this just some freak Summer where things have gone lopsided?

What do you mean by 'bad'? The Gold Coast has had a lot of storms lately, but I don't think the weather's been particularly cold....not unless there's a huge drop as soon as you leave Brisbane!

 We've had a very normal summer so far. Mega storms, loads of sun and regular humidity. A couple of days of high humidity meant the air con going on for an hour or so but that's about it. Saying that the last couple of evenings it has dropped to 21 but a jumper sorts that problem;)
