Red face Big (Ladies) Problem

Hi .... Have completed our TRA last year and were just in the process of finishing off our visa...... When suddenly , huge blow and have just been told at the age of 38 that i have breast cancer! My twin sister and her husband are due to emigrate early next year ,and our plan was to follow them shortly after. My agent has said that he has never come across this problem before ,but has basically told me that there is no point in continuing with our application at this present time.Would be interested to know if anyone else has been in this situation before and got there visas or if it was even possible to pass the medicals.
p.s Thank you Sophia for your PM, i will e-mail you tomorrow!
p.p.s Big day at hospital tomorrow morning for me ...results of all the tests to see if it has spread any further :scared: ... and also when i will be starting my chemo ......
I know this is abit cheeky as more a reader than a poster ...but some Karma from you guys out there would be much appreciated...... feel like my Ozzie dream is slipping away :scared:

So sorry to hear your news ...
I was told by my agent, about a chap who was found to have lung cancer at his medical, he had op etc and once he was given all clear went on to get his visa and is happily living in oz, ... so try and stay positive and think of your plans as just being on hold for a while and once you have had your treatment and have the all clear you can continue with your dream.

Good luck for tomorrow - K sent

Take care

OMG i'm so sorry, all i can say is that you're one brave lady to come on here and share your sad news.....karma definately on its way lady

its easy to sit here on the bench and say think positive and think of that dream but it has been proven to work! grab all the help, healing, prayers (whatever you believe in!) complimentry therapies you can grab....this is your life and its worth fighting for and you've got a dream to fulfill!

it really hits home when someone so young is struck with such a shit disease!!

The very, very best of luck for tommorow, and you have every right to be scared.

good luck michelle and i know eeryone on the forum will wish you well, there'll definately be support for you on here.

best wishes,
debbie x

Karma sent - I wish you the best of luck tomorrow......this is just a blip so don't lose focus on your dream. I think its important that you look after yourself right now, once you know what treatment you are to have you can look into submitting your visa application. Once you know where you stand post your question on the Immigration forum - I'm sure in the past an agents name has been mentioned that specialises in medical issues surrounding visa applications. Meantime though take time to come to terms with this sad news and focus on your recovery....Australia will always be there for you.

Take care and let us know how things are going.....if you need someone to talk to feel free to PM me.

All the best for tomorrow and for your chemo when you start. If you feel up to it and it's not too intrusive then let us know how you get on, as there are a lot of very lovely people on here who can offer you loads of support.

All the best

Hi Michelle
What a blow, I can't imagine what you must be going through !!
Never let the dream go, my friend had breast cancer and she was given the all clear about 6 months ago. From what I understand you will be able to complete your dream but just a little later than planned. BIG hugs for you and your family, wish you all the love and best wishes in the worldxx

Much love and karma to you and yours
