I shop in COLES! I dont know where you shops, but I have a fruit & vege shop & a butcher RIGHT outside the Coles front door. So instead of going through the Coles F&V section I stop on the way out at the F&V shop & buy it. Only extra time I spend is the 2 mins it takes her to tote it up on the til & for me to get the money out. Ditto for the butcher.

Why is it that theres always got to be a UK is better than Oz or visa versa? In case you didnt realise, I have never compared the UK to Oz, Im telling you how much I pay for certain items. People can take it exactly how they like, I dont give a shit if you spend that much, doesnt mean everyone else has to.

If you choose to pay more for your groceries then dont let me stop you! If you are into throwing money away though, throw some my way, you obviously have heaps, I'll happily spend it on groceries when we go back to the UK in Sept :p .

Actually the only anger I can see in this thread is from people who dont like it said some food here is expensive, they are the ones who have turned it into you have to shop all over town not me. That is what is so funny, the thread has backfired on them.

I shop in Coles, we also buy from a farm I still pay more than in the UK, that I think is due to the lack of competion here. Why that makes you so angry is beyond me, especially as you claim not to give a ____.

You say your telling people how much YOU pay and people can take it how they like, well then why cant I tell people how much I pay too? :rolleyes:

Speaking of food, I'm starving. When I get paid on Wednesday, I'm so buying a BIG, FAT Chicken parmigiana (spelling). Additionally, Im going to steam some vegies, mash some potatos and savour every bite. Rent a video and call it a night.

And you obviously have a problem with your reading, I dont shop all over town, 1 shopping mall (& a very small one at that) with 3 shops 50 feet from each other. If you buy from a farm as well as Coles then it seems that you're the one whos running all over town, not me :D .

Im posting what I pay for stuff when I shop just like you are, but at least my posts dont ridicule people & make fun of them :rolleyes:. You & Ceri are the ones gabbling that you are the only ones without rosetinted glasses & that know the "real cost" & whats cheap vs expensive. As for airfares, I dont know what you're on about, the only time I have ever posted about airfares was to post the price we have paid for a trip back to the UK in a thread last week & to suggest places for you to go on holidays at Xmas. :confused: . Ahh of course, I was being helpful, making suggestions for places/prices, posting links etc, how stupid of me, wont make that mistake again :rolleyes: .
