Another alternative is to signup (for free) to UK Nova, and download your favourite programmes using a torrent

Damn straight. It works well, especially when you download to a media server and can share the content wired/wirelessly on a PS3, WDTV, set top box etc

But they have addtional services which allow you to connect to servers in places like Holland. Where you can download torrents with out any monitoring as everything is encrypted. There is no way to trace the client therefore you then can't get caught.
I pay £9 a month for this and this includes servers in the States so I can use Netflix and other services too.
