BBC iplayer

there is a global tv service that I think can be got here that gives iplayer as well as other catch up stuff plus most of the brit channels... don't think I'm allowed to give the web site stuff on here so it might be worth googling eltel.tv to get more info... might work - might not!

Expat Shield is OK for downloading stuff but I've shelled out for a UK-based VPN and it's so much better for about a fiver a month.

No its from a company in europe, I found them early this year and I get 28 channels live
And I can go back and watch any program in the last 5 days. I pay 180 euros every 6 months, It sound expensive but its far better than watching on a computer.

´Sounds quite reasonable... however, can you get iplayer, itv player etc on it and the brit radio stations.

You dont need i-player, this is the same as having a satellite decoder but without a dish. I have the decoder under my tv and is just connected to my router, it then is hdmi connected to my tv. I also get E4 and More4 which keeps my 12 year old happy.

Nope, can't take any credit for research... I met Darren a couple of years back in Southern Spain... and they were attempting to sell that service then!
