Can I join in and be pedantic too? On your caption it says "in a deep dark whole.." is that correct or do you mean hole as in hole in the ground....?
Seriously though, are the imported Whole Wheat Biscuits really like weetabix in the UK? My daughter won't eat weetbix here. I am also looking for proper Readybrek - the quick cooking oats and Uncle Toby's are all too lumpy.

Can't buy Readybreak here unless you can find it at an expat shop.

Annual Holiday
Australian Employees get an extra 8.6667 weeks on full pay after each period of 10 years continuous service (sometimes 7 years applies, pro-rata).
This means that the average worker effectively gets almost 5 weeks paid holiday per year, averaged over a ten year employment period. (A Portable long service leave is available to building and construction industry employees who change employers regularly)
Superannuation
Almost all Australian employees get an extra 9% or more paid into a personal superanuation fund for them, on top of their wages. Some get higher amounts if the employer also funds a company scheme.
Minimum wage
UK is £5.73 ph ($13.96 at 2.4359 FX rate 31/10/08 4:20gmt)
Australia is $14.31 per hour

Erm, have you ever wondered if you're gluten intolerant?
What were they thinking when they changed Darkie toothpaste to Darlie? They still have a black and white minstrel on the packaging, at least.

No, they're bloody awful. I had one last week at the theatre - it seemd only appropriate at a showing of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert.

Well whatever he is, he managed this....
Mr Hagan said he was used to personal attacks following his nine-year battle to have the racist term "nigger" removed from the E.S. "Nigger" Brown Stand in Toowoomba, named after the city's first international footballer. It is believed he received the nickname because he was particularly fair-skinned.

I don't wanna know. I still like to eat them every now and again. I just make sure I'm not going anywhere fast
Never heard of it
I used to love the gollies on the jam. My favourite toy was my gollie and I even bought one to remind me of the lovely times I had as a kid

Just looked up Darlie/Darkie - apparently it originates from Taiwan. Sold all over Singapore; I thought I'd seen it here too but then I do frequent Asian areas.
