Oh Jill, you poor thing!
I know what it's like with the poo, cos our rabbits sometimes had it. And no matter how much you love them, it's soooooooo disgusting!!
Gotta be careful too, if it stays there to long: flies on it - become maggots - go inside :scared: - eat away insides.

Ok, change of subject!!!
Are you going to Cirque de Soleil?
If so (and even if not), soooo jealous!
But, can't have everything when saving for house!! Already spending enough as it is!!

seeyou tomorrow!

Hi you guys

Been following your posts up til the point I got the yellow envelope and my life was turned upside down but now I am here and it seems to have levelled a little so I got back online at the library, while my goods are still in the middle of the ocean somewhere.

We arrived in Perth 1st March. Bought a car the very next day, then I applied for a job on the Thursday and got the interview in the arvo. House hunted for the next couple of days, then had another interview on the Thursday (didn't get the first one), got offered this job but the hubbt got offered one the same day so I had to turn mine down as the kids were not in school etc. He has had two more interviews since, got them all and chose the one he wanted and started last Monday. Ihave had another interview and am waiting to hear (can't believe how easy it is to get jobs!)

We bought a house on Saturday in Heathridge and the kids started school Wednesday at Eddystone Primary so things are really getting sorted out!

If you still have your coffee morings and would like another pom to add to the chin wagging I would be most grateful as the only thing missing now in this equation is a good natter amongst friends.

18th March

Coffee mornings are still alive and well and it should be a big one next week as certain posters have built up flexi-time specifically for the coffee mornings, cos they miss us so much!! Bit of an 'old girls reunion' although we all saw each other last night. I had great time BTW.

We are meeting next Thursday at the Dome Coffee Shop at Hillarys Boat Harbour at 12 noon onwards. You'll know who we all are by the 'cackling' and the fancy shoes Hope to see you there and anyone else who needs some friends.

Moving on..................

Neglected to mention that the day I set my head alight was the day I also found maggots in my outside bin. I had quite a turn and started to hyperventilate, truely revoulting. Apparently it happens quite often here, I was mortified, Mrs Bucket will not have maggots in her bin. Looks like a bag had split, the smell nearly knocked me over. Apparently the only way to really get rid of them is to pour boiling water on them, which is just what I did, while muttering "Die you little buggars, DIE" They promply obeyed and I then used practically a whole bottle of bleach to get rid of the smell. I am now double bagging all rubbish - so be warned (shudder shudder)

Todays little adventure nearly had me on one of those programmes "World's Wildest Police Videos"

I had to go south of the river for an appointment with a furnature company and I decided to take the scenic route back and get on the Freeway just outside the City. Big mistake, got meself a bit buggary lost, as when the Freeway splits at the bottom into Mounts Bay Road, the map rather resembles an unraveling ball of wool!!

I thought I was doing rather well and navigated myself around the backstreets until I turned into oncoming traffic the wrong way up a one way street :scared: . As soon as I had done it I realised what I had done. I swiftly do-nutted round and hot footed it across the junction into a side street to compose myself. I was mortified and a little shaken. It's very hard to drive away from such an 'motoring mis-judgement' while trying to keep your head in the footwell (so no-one sees you) I can tell ya !!!

I haven't told Warren about this yet, as he may ground me. I'll let him read it on here I really don't think I should have been let out of the Loonie Bin quite yet, I'm not ready for the outside world. Inside my head is a far more pleasant and safe place - although Warren may disagree (the inside my head bit).

Don't worry it was only me in the car and my imaginary friend who made me do it

Got a fab weekend planned, but will tell you all about it after the event. Got the Circus tomorrow and the horse show on Sunday.

Off to swimming now and then to Malaga Markets, that's an eye opener. Littlen' loves going on a Friday Night as they usually have some sort of Childrens entertainment on. It's like stepping back 20 years and the trumpet playing Bonnie Tyler lookalike is an experience I am still recovering from, seeing is believing.

Au reviour mon petit peeps

Jill

I went to it when it was on in Brisbane in November, was a really good night out. Looks like the B-Family are going from the latest post, so hopefully they'll have just as good a time

Wed 23rd March

Do so wish I had more time to write this update, but I am sneaking it in before Warren gets home, as he'll think all I've ben doing all day is sitting on here, which is about as removed from the truth as you can get.

Yesterday was the main event actually, as Jilly went and got herself a flat tyre on the way to taking Littlen' to school. I called on the 'Bat Phone' and Wonder Wozza donned his cape and came to the rescue. I was in a mild panic as it was making me very late for my shopping trip with Madame Sin and Siren (sounds like the making of a good film with those names).

Anyway a very very nice lady asked me into her house to wait while Wonder Wozza took to the skies. She was lovely, very friendly and I didn't know quite what to say when she told me that 10 days previously her husband had died :scared: Well to cut a long story short we have now formed a friendship as she is a Dan Brown fan (author) so I took her along my stash to keep her busy.

I can honestly say everyone I have come across in Perth have been nothing short of exetremely friendly and very helpful, even to the point of telling me that I should buy something from another shop than the one I am standing in!!

Well I managed to prize Warren's car of him for the rest of the day as I didn't want ot be driving his precious daughter round on the spare! plus I could get to the shops quicker while he fixed the spare on

The rest of the day was lovely and Subiaco is great for the more upmarket shopping. Found a great specialist food shop called Simon Johnson, beautiful stuff and a chiller fromagerie section with cheeses from all over the place and pasta sauces to die for.

Going back a few days....... the circus was really fab. Warren had arranged for Imogen to meet the owners beforehand and she got to groom the miniture ponies before the show. She was absolutely thrilled and was just bowled over by the show. They also had a little dog who did tricks who could have been Smudges twin !! now we are busy teaching Smudge tricks..watch this space.
The horse show was great on the Sunday was great too. Ascot race course is lovely, the girlies must do ladies day with me, a MUST. Great excuse to wear a posh frock and at hat, what a hoot that would be.

Unfortunately we missed the Mounted Police Show as wer had been out the night before, but it's on next year. So if you are horse crazy like our Littlen' then it's well worth a trip.

Big thankyou to Madame Sin for looking after the sprog, pity that Warren's choice of eating establishment was pants!! But the evening was turned around as we ended up having a fab night in Fremantle, just like being on holiday

Must dash off to Parents Conference at the school and then a spot of skinny dipping later It's become very popular in this house at the mo........phewie it's 'ot. Best feeling in the world swimming at night under the stars.............

Toodle pip

Hi Mags,

Hang on in there, I'm back in the UK in May but with all the things Jill wants me to bring back from Next and M&S I won't be able to manage that many but I'll try and squeeze in a box or two !!

I'm also back in August and October this year so plenty of time to get stuff.

Best wishes
