Hi Pete, I work at the Bunbury Regional Hospital and the conditions are pretty fair. The other hospital is St. John of God and is the private hospital in Bunbury. Both hospitals are on the same site and only minutes from both Bunbury town and Dalyellup.
The conditions at both hospitals are both really good by all accounts (I work in the mental health unit), although fairly busy, although not by UK standards! Dalyellup has two schools at present, a state school and Ocean Forest Lutheran College, which is private. The Lutheran College takes children from kindy to year 12. This costs about $1500 per child per year plus uniforms and books, etc..., so overall about $2000 per child per year. I have my two boys there, and although a good school academically, we have found it doesn't cater particularly well for their social needs (only our opinion). The state primary school is very good, and I know this as my neighbour sends her daughter there. As your wife will be nursing she could potentially salary package the school fees, mortgage/ rent payments reducing her tax bill by $9000 per year, although this is dependent if she works full-time/ part-time.
If you need any further info please feel free to PM me.
Good Luck, Nick.

Dear Jackie/Steve
Although the work would appear to be in Australind we would be provided with accommodation - would Bunbury or Dalyellup be commutable?
Do you know where we could get more details on the new school and I assume there is a new road hence the decreased time to Perth?

From Bunbury, you will have so many lovely holiday destinations at your doorstep - Busselton, Margaret River wine region, and further on, the forests around Walpole etc.
