can you still work 20 hour if a dependent

Hi can you tell me if you go to Australia as a dependant are you able to still work the 20 hours a week.

This isn't the USA. I haven't heard of visas where the other can't work (not to say there aren't any)

Hi,
if you mean on a student visa, then as a dependant you can only work 20 hours a week. Also you cant apply to work until the person who has the student visa starts their course.

if its a 457 dependant child i was told that they cant work!!
