Whether there is officially a recession or not is to some extent largely irrelevant. If people are losing their jobs, getting hours cut and potentially losing their homes the fact that there is a recession or not is unimportant. If you are working and earning good money it also doesnt make any difference, it just comes down to what the official figures show.

Loads of fixed term staff are still waiting to hear if their contracts will be renewed, they all expire December 31st.
Also talking to mates who run businesses, people are taking longer and longer to pay their bills. Lots of small businesses going under here in WA.

Indeed. 13,900 more jobs were created in Australia last month and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.2%. Surely that's positive?!

Looks good if you create 4 Part-Time positions to cover the 1 Full-Time employee sacked,multiply that by 1,000's!Viola !!!!!Unemployment Rates decrease!
