well me and my friends still have good paying jobs. a new migrant friend got a job. i personally know no-one without a job. there are jobless people out there for sure but at the moment i don't know anyone in my circle of friends and acquaintances. in fact the previously unemployed are now employed full time.
You do mean in Australia, don't you?

Well all my many friends and relatives in Australia say works still plentiful where they are, not jst as great, but still far better there than in Blighty. To be fair there are places here where unemployment is low, in these areas it's similar to Oz.

How do they know? Are they looking for work in both countries? That's the only way they could possibly say. Having been unemployed for 18 months, I can tell you jobs are fairly thin on the ground. (In my very personal, on the ground, experience of course).

But you are only going by personal experience of actually being there, dont you know that jobs are plentiful in Australia ?

No dramas, just parked 400 metres down the road and walked back, logged on and went outside to visit the local cafe for coffee.
Mean while the 2 cars who arrived same time as me are still waiting for the truck to move

i think most first world people are allergic to hard work, look at the manual labourers in developed countries.
but i think australia has a higher proportion of trades than many other developed countries where degrees are highly sought after.

A moving truck was temporily blocking parking bays outside the office this morning.
No dramas, just parked 400 metres down the road and walked back, logged on and went outside to visit the local cafe for coffee.

Which obviously confirms 100% that all Australians are bone idle. Your comment is as valid as the rubbish press in the UK banging on about how all Brits must be bone idle or the Polish wouldn't come in and take their jobs. Complete bull and totally patronising. Imo obviously.
