Is Australia to boring?

Ethnic minorities don't really count in the cultural impact of a city, at least as far as tourists are concerned. There are stacks of Brits and Americans in Paris for example, but most tourists don't see them.
I've been to Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, and as far as I'm concerned they are all pretty much the same. Same chainstores, same casinos, same people, same hectares of identical suburbia, same beaches, same food, etc.

Welcome to the corporate world, one day the entire globe will be the same wherever you go.
What does bug me about Oz are the new suburbs that are knocked up ever so quickly, every single one is the same with sprawling 4x2s, and a Westfield in the middle next to a Bunnings, there are hundreds all over Australia, I think they must have just one master plan and go from that. The older suburbs have character and imagination, I guess town planners don't these days

That's just ridiculous - honestly, you couldn't have had a good look around.

Same as England then where every high street has a Boots, Next, M&S, Greggs, Top shop, Dixons/Currys, Starbucks, Weatherspoons etc

Dear oh dear, what a narrow-minded view.
Have you visited the markets in Brixton? Or the spice-shops and curry houses in Tooting? Or walked through Brick Lane? The whole of London is thriving in cultural diversity. From the people who live there to the history you can find literally everywhere.
Oh and if you think that Perth doesn't have chavvy kids, crime etc you're sadly mistaken.

Erm, I wasn't talking about East Street. I was talking about Brick Lane, and the curry houses and bagel shops.
Up until a year ago I lived in South London all my 37 years, so I know what I'm talking about
I was referring to London culture in general, not just south London.
PS: You used to get the absolute best sarsaparilla from one of the stalls in East St. Long since gone though unfortunately.

What one person finds boring, another doesn't. One person doesn't think there is any 'culture' in South London, other do. Why do people fail to understand this? So busy telling each other they are wrong, they fail to see the basic fact which is banged on about on here year in, year out; people are different.
