The Aussie adapters are most flimsy devices which cannot cope with the weight of the robust English plug and the cable attached. So you would wish to replace all the plugs as soon as possible to avoid using them.
Does the fact that you haven't done so mean that your inner self wonders how long you can last out in Australia?

Sorry to take the thread off subject, but I believe there is something more significant in this comment.

I have a handful of these:
Multi region extension lead
Though I honestly don't know why these haven't caught on:
Multi-region socket

Probably partly the reason i havent changed them.
the fact that I havent done so, doesnt make my inner self wonder how long i can last out in australia. it already knows its going home in a couple of years.
I think theres only so long it can take being trapped in this experiement, so I have a deadline in mind.

"Across the Empire"? I have come across them in Singapore and Malaysia, not sure where else they survive. After all, the Empire was dead and buried before the fused 13A square pin plug came into existence. When I was a lad in the UK we had 2A, 5A, 10A and 15A round pin plugs and sockets - all different sizes, so you had to have a collection of adaptors around the house. The introduction of the 13A plug was a brilliant idea - especially for the electricians who got to rewire every house to put in the new sockets!
