I also found it was less pretentious than Glenelg for example, or Brighton, there is a really bohemian feel in the square, it's so laid back. I'm also 12 minutes from Glenelg, where I also go alot for dinner, that is what I was after. I don't have children so can't comment on the schools, it's close to Westlakes and only 15-20 minutes from the city. The only thing they could use is a train/tram into Glenelg without going via the city!
Thanks for that, it sounds lovely. Will definately be down for a visit

I must say though that I don't read everything all the way through as I am too lazy
. So in hindsight my reply might have sounded strange. So happy house and suburb hunting.Ann

Yes brilliant that he's got a job (at last!) He's really enjoying it too so that's a relief.
Feeling a little crap this week, I've got an eye infection
It's been a bit up and down really. I'm off to see a specialist who wants to use me for research :scared:

Mmm, we are pretty close to Parafield airport and some days even the small aircraft drive me mental.

Also, my daughter will be 7 when we arrive and be in her third year of primary school. Does the Oz schooling system relate at all to the UK system or are the school years totally different?
My last question is ..... how easy is it to find rented accommodation (preferably furnished) and what referneces will we need?
Cheers again,
Nic

Ah, there's enough of us here that you should never be without someone to ring up for coffee or a glass of SA's finest. Can't wait to meet you all when you arrive.
