Family and friends are asking what we might want for Christmas. As we are hopefully emigrating to Oz (once we have got our visa) 2nd half 2007, I think that there must be something useful for the move / setting up over there. Any ideas??

Ask them for 'time vouchers', whereby they promise you both some of their free time when it comes to sorting the house for the move. Sounds a bit naff, but that's what I need more than anything, is another pair of hands to help with the kids / packing. Time is running out for us and the panick is setting in.

We had this discussion the other night.. we decided to tell them to bung the kids some money, that they can keep til they are Oz-side, and can use it to help themselves settle in.

Mind you, that all depends on hearing good news sometime in the next couple of weeks

I like this idea as you can never have enough hand sto help with the packing I think i would ask for help with decorating so we can get the house on the market sooner.

I Know we went two years ago and it's one of the places that both my girls would love to go back to before we move to Oz for good.
