Great scenery, great for younger kids, not at all sure that would apply to the over 12's with regard to future opportunities, things like jobs?

They just like to make the program seem more dramatic. I'm told that they are no more a nuisance than bees and wasps over here. And some people react badly to their bites much the same as bee stings over here. I've seen conversations like this on Poms in Oz and some one that has lived there for 40 years has never seen them

When does anyone else hope to be moving over there? :thumbsup:

my real opinion is it's a great place to live;
my false opinion is it's terrible, don't come here, stay on the crowded north island-your tv won't work here, we don't have tesco, there are no clothes shops, everyone has two heads, there's a jack-jumper as premier, your driving licence has two holes punched in it, the building trade's slowing down, you can't insulate your house etc.etc.....:p

Which shipping company did you use? and did you bring loads of stuff? and (sorry for the 20 questions!) Is there anything you'd wished you didn't bring and other things you wished you'd did?;)

we used Crown with no problems (though other people on here have), we brought personal effects only cos all our furniture in the UK was crap so we did loads of car boots, bring all you can that may come in useful, i wished i'd brought all my vinyl LPs cos now i can rip them to CD instead of selling them for peanuts then replacing them with expensive CDs.
