I've been on Emitrates 777 and to be honest the difference is minimal. What you do notice is that the aisles are very narrow...so if you sit on one you'll get bumped everytime someone goes past.

Had a direct comparison a few times (Emirates to Singapore)... And for me it is a problem as in the emirates seat I only can sit "diagonal", the singapore one (still is narrow but fits )...Those two inches can make a huge difference (at least for big people)...

It's not too bad, probably better than Emirates for space and the armrests are really good in that they are made of lightweight plastic and genuinely disappear when you lift them up - so if more than one of you is traveling together it becomes quite a comfortable seat.

I use Emirates every couple of weeks and their 3-4-3 is not any worse than SIA's 3-3-3, probably better as the width of the aisles has been sacrificed and Emirates has more legroom.

Singapore Airlines recommend, On the A380 from LHR to SIN and then 2-4-2 seating i think it was from the SIN to BNE leg. Took 22 hours from LHR to BNE in total including the 2 hour stop over. Most airlines your looking at least 25 + hours total traveling time. Best priced airline for 1 way - £560 in British Spring time
