Well done. That's an incredible deal. I could have got similar fares outside the school holidays but as we know, airlines know when the school holidays are......

Some of the shopping Malls are seriously world class. Every major store in the world is there. Suria KLCC - next to the Petronas Towers - is huge and has everything.

anyone with accomodation suggestions in Kota Kinabalu or KL, id be grateful.
We think we'll go "nice hotel" in KL but prob backpackers place in Kota Kinabalu

I knmow a fantastic hotel in KK - Shangri-La Tanjung Aru. 5* though - hardly backpackers.

Enjoy. I'm not sure of which area to head to - still doing some research. What's the attraction of the area that you are going to? Is malaria or other mozzie based diseases a problem there?
