Default AirAsia X for Perth

Looks like AirAsia X are starting flights between Perth and KL from November. Next year they are starting KL to London as well. So, soon you will be able to do Perth to London on a low cost airline if you so wish.

Great news.

Anyone got any idea what sort of price they are looking at for KL-London?

Their current pricing between Gold COast and KL ispretty decent - if they combine that with a decent KL-London fare then things could get interesting....

In their Wikipedia entry it says that they are looking at Australia-UK from $1000 return. How realistic this will be, given the current oil price remains to be seen.

Just booked for April School holidays. $1150 for the 3 of us to get to KL. We will probably head to Borneo.

Just had a look at this and return flights to KL for 2 would be $308, however after 'surcharges' and tax this goes upto $720!

Still probably less than half the price of Malaysian Airlines.

I was looking at a fare to NZ the other week and the fuel surcharge alone was more then the fare.
