It really does look like a maze but I should point out that some of those walls are cupboards and plumbing ducts.The kids had a whale of a time running around and my eldest is desperate to hold a paint ball tornament in there.

Well it has been a very busy weekend, next door neighbours birthday party on Saturday and a celebratory dinner with friends on Sunday but we somehow managed to squeeze in a visit to the site. As ever we were very pleased with what we found. All the formwork materials are onsite and the scaffolding is now in place. The scaffolding has been really well secured with gates, handrails and ladders bolted into place so we climbed up and had a wonder round the platform which is around the top floor. It was very exciting and according to our supervisor we should have a top floor within a couple of weeks. Our other neighbours are also very excited about our project (having very recently built a similar house). They have suggested that we have a sunset, champagne toast when the upper slab is laid and they have offered to supply the champagne

I should be in bed but I know that my in laws check every Sunday for updates so this is for you Mum and D.
Mr ACE was working late yesterday so I popped up to the block with the boys. I was very excited to see that the formwork is completed ready for the upper slab concrete pour this week.

Mr Ace finished a little earlier today so we thought we would pop up to the block together to take some pics. As we pulled up to the house (5:40pm Sunday evening) we noticed a van backed into our driveway. I was a little bit nervous as I thought we had caught thieves or vandals red handed. To our complete surprise it was the carpenter putting in the formwork for the stairs and balconies.
