Thanks PP, I still have a few more pictures of upstairs to upload and then I'll take some pictures of downstairs for your veiwing pleasure. There is still a lot to do, we need to sort out light fittings for our 62 internal lights and 10 outdoor lights and there is still the landscaping, fencing and pool to be completed.

Thanks Ozhappy,we are very pleased with the final result. A couple of weeks ago we discoverd a major leak from the spa to the guest bathroom. We had water running down the walls in the shower and toilet below, we called the builder and they sent someone round the same day. They had to smash a hole through the tiles and brickwork at the front of the spa housing to get to the pipework . The good thing was that they fixed the problem and first thing the next morning the tiler came round and repaired the brickwork, did the replastering and the day after that he replaced the tiles . looking at it now you wouldn't even know there had been a problem.

We have had a few problems with things not working properly and, to his credit, the supervisor has sent plumbers, electricians etc round within hours of our calls or the next day and everything has been sorted out.

The flooring is New South Wales Blackbutt (feature grade). This is actually cheaper than NSW BB select grade which is very uniform in colour and does not have any of the dark gum lines and knots but it looks a bit like laminate to me. We used a Rockingham company called Coastal Floor Sanding, I would definitely recommend them to anyone building in or south of Perth. There were things that we were not happy with but the boss was great, very easy to talk to and so willing to make sure the job was finished to our satisfaction.
