Been to the Nan Tien temple.... get a great view of Port Kembla from up the Pagoda... only problem is the pollution in the air makes your eyes sting.

I love the fact that there's still some heavy industry in this country. I remember when I was kid in the UK, we used to drive up 'north' to see my mum's side of the family, a route which took us through Birmingham. Over the years I'd look out of the window at the very epicentre of the industrial revolution and over the years, slowly but surely, all the factories making 'things', rather 'services' - or doing little more than shuffling digital information and ones and zeroes around in cyberspace, slowly disappeared to be replaced by out-of-town shopping centres and Beazer estates. I love that Wollongong's still a steel town.
