Default Is this it?

As the movie said...

Landed in Brisbane two weeks ago, and yes the initial excitement has worn off big time.

Better weather, true. But what else? I'm from England and have spent five years in NZ.

There is very little everyday difference between the countries.

Somebody mentioned the 'clone Zone' and already I identify with it.

Australia has less culture than NZ! What has happened to the indiginous folk who used to live here? Where are they?

It's like living in a huge car lot. White bread without the grain. TV for the masses. Dumbed down and out.

No soul. No charisma. No je ne said quoi. Nothing.

It IS the most boring place on the planet. No question.

Im sure I will hear about why it's so great. But a country without soul has nothing.

Then perhaps you'll make use of the return half of your ticket then, seeing as you don't sound like you approve of the place.

I think it's more the country hasn't got your soul (or heart).

Actually, I'll rephrase that, Brisbane hasn't got your heart or soul. After all Brisbane isn't ALL Australia is it?

I found more to do in Brisbane than Wellington when I was there. Why don't you try another city, there are a few more in Australia.

Thought it was going to be a happy meet not a woe is me meet...

You would have thought anything would be an improvement on living with all those sheep.

Got to say, that people do seem to have less to complain about with Melbourne, than most of the other cities. Maybe it really does have more facets than the other places.
