We drove in low 4 on beaches in 'Cruisers. No probs. Make sure you indicate to pull over when approaching an oncoming vehicle. It's possible for the other driver to not keep to the left and you both take evasive action, turn the same direction, and collide headon!!

BUT don't drive on the edge of the surf!!!

1) It only looks cool in Baywatch
2) salt corrosion

If you were hiring, rentals inspect for the salt corrosion damage and will keep your deposit instantly.
