about the school question - I think I'd agree with ononno. The 3 years and then an apprenticeship and then hopefully a job. But its difficult to say whats the right thing these days. Mine leaves school next year, he's at Itis doing Informatica - but I don't know whether there will be any jobs out there. He doesnt want to do Uni. I'm quite worried.

Oh, and I had to do the reverse process when I sent money via Western Union.
It involved 40 minutes in the tabbacheria and 13 signatures.

You indeed can, but note they are only valid for a year now (used to be 3) and in the country denomination sent from. We have this problem with a number of relatives both in Oz and the UK, just wish we had a/c numbers for them as a transfer these days can be very cheap.
