postgraduate accounting degree in Australia?
Hello everyone
I just found this forum a few days ago, and it provides a lot of helpful information. Here I need some help.
I'm a oversea student studying in Sydney and I'm studying a MBA degree that has a professional accounting major accredited by ICAA and CPA. Can someone tell me that is it possible for me to find a job in big accounting companies like big 4 after postgraduate study? And if it's possible, what should I do to achieve this or what is their requirement? I haven't got a accounting bacholar's degree and I don't have any related work experience.
What I know is I must be a Australia PR or citizen.
I heard a lot of forums said that big 4 companies just hire people having bacholar's degree, and it's almost impossible for a postgraduate to work there, is that true?
I will appreciate any kind of help.

Hi JAJ, thank you for reply , I come from China. I don't think I can do Australian CA there. I just started my postgraduate course in Australia. This master degree does have some advantages for staying in Australia. Like many of my friends, I'm worried about the prospect of postgraduate. Do you have any information about the prospect of postgraduate in Australia if I can stay here after graduation?

If you have completed 2 years of studying in Australia (see www.immi.gov.au) you can get a graduate visa which allows you to stay in Australia for another 18 months to get extra work experience and that way gain extra points to get a PR.
