Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

I think the posters who have jumped to Ezzie's defence in all honesty are insulting her intelligence by suggesting she takes any criticism or disagreeing comments seriously. She writes intelligently...

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

Honestly I'm amazed at you and Capeblue. This is only a forum therefore it's just a sounding board where all the normal boundaries are removed. That's why etiquette goes out of the window sometimes...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

Sometimes you have to judge. It's the only way to get things changed. When I see a mother buy her child a cup of chips for a dollar so she can spend what's left on clothes for herself, I can't help...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

Well who knows? Maybe after the current wake up call about the correction on the value of money, the next big wake up call is going to be about taking personal responsibility for one's health instead...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

You can choose what you put in your mouth. You can't always choose your working conditions.

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

So chavs don't suffer from depression? I don't know about the UK, i'm not there but in Queensland there are no statistics confirming that 65% of the population suffer from depression.:)

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

It depends how you define the term 'chav'. If the suggestion that all people who receive benefits are chavs or all single mothers are chavs, then that would be wrong. If all bad parents were regarded...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

The government has a web site Ezzie and there is a national statistic department. There are regular updates which any taxpayer can access and read to find out how their money is being spent on the...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

There are almost 29 million employed and out of the 10 million, only 1.7 unemployed. The other 8.3 million are probably doing some form of work but they may also be receiving widows pension, war...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

Just as a matter of interest and while there is some suggestion that the 'underclass' is unique to Britain, which it is not, there are currently approx 10 million people in the UK receiving some kind...

Re: An interesting day at the shopping centre!

Many of the convicts were only guilty of stealing a loaf of bread to feed their starting families as a result of the social injustices and deprivation of Georgian England.
The corruption came not...

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

Thankyou Chelle, I'm glad if you've found my posts helpful. That makes a bad experience count for something if someone else can benefit.
I do need to apologise because this is Ezzie's thread and...

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

If you have a really loving family, you can get through anything together. It's good that you're going home to be there for your mum. I'm sure both you and her will grow huge in strength just by...

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

Things have a way of turning out in the end. Might be a bit scary but once you've chosen your direction everything pretty much falls into place. Just keep the faith.:)

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

Re: Just returned to UK to film for TV prog....initial thoughts

Apparantly, there is a highly volatile full moon on the 12th Dec. Tempers are going flare and passions are going to be roused. Sounds like another normal day in paradise. ;)
