I had 3 steins (litres) and I was toast - actually it was less as I couldn't finish the 3rd!

I know that and you know that - even unsensibly on the odd occasion.:) But it seems a lot of people in the UK don't know what drinking sensibly means! same for some in Australia - just costs a bit...

Yeah, I've drunk at the Andechs Monastery in Bavaria. Great beer, but it looks (and goes down) like black treacle and is unbelievably f**king strong! They had to pour us out of there, thank heavens...

I actually don't mind VB, of all the Aussie 'cooking' lagers, it's one of the best.

Yes it does, but the majority of it is swill - as it is in Australia.

Redback is $8.50 in my local - but I agree that it is expensive.
