Fingers crossed all round. I looked today and we're still 'received by visa office'. I'll still keep looking every week but I don't think we'll hear from them until January/February

Nothing here neither - was expecting some movement by Xmas - looks like we'll have to wait a little longer

Cool Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates

Hi all...

I have a look at this thread every now & again to see if there is any progress. Only because my AOR was 9th September, so I keep wondering whether to start off a new thread for AOR's August-September!

It's so frustrating!! I am hoping to hear something around Feb/Mar now - what do you June/July AOR-ers think?

We are debating whether to go back to BC in May for what's become a bit of an annual trip, but keep thinking about the timings for hearing something etc. Wouldn't want to 'waste' the opportunity by just having a holiday when we could be doing more productive stuff (jobs/living etc), having had a positive result

Not sure if you have already done it, but I would strongly encourage starting an Aug/Sept AOR thread. I started the Mar/April one after stokesey did the Jan /Feb one and I find it such a support. I also think it helps those behind you form an opinion on when to expect what.

Good luck

No nothing. We are a month ahead of you on AOR and I know there are a few others with March, April and May AOR's who have still not moved to "in process". We are also very frustrated!!!

Hi all, I am probably too blonde for this as I am not sure what you all mean by AOR but we have sent our supporting docs in early July and this is what it says about our application on the CIC website:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 11, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the London England office on May 11, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

So, I guess we have to wait a bit longer...and yes, it´s very frustrating!
Since my OH left the Army in May, all our belongings are already in storage and we live in my in-laws house at the moment. It is hugely generous of them to let us live here rent free (!) while they live in their holiday house but, to be honest, I am starting to miss having A HOME! Actually, I am fast getting to the point where I am past caring where this home is as long as it´s a home...Timbuktu is fine, as far as I am concerned!!! But hey ho, I will try to be patient. By the way, we are hoping to go to Kingston,ON or surrounding area...anyone else headed for there?

Truth of the matter is that we have hired an immigration consultant as we wanted someone to make sure that all the I´s are dotted and all the T´s are crossed and she receives all the paperwork.
To be fair, Sam is fantastic and sends emails and calls us as soon as she hears anything and yes, she did send an email and phoned to say that she´d received a letter to say that our paperwork had been received. She also send me a copy via email and that dates 11.August 2010.
